I am chomping at the bit to go get a ling this year. Weather might actually cooperate finally so I can get out on the big rocks and catch a monster or two.

Anybody know of good places in area 8-2 or the east side of area 9 for lings? I use to go ling cod fishing years back in the San Juans but since I have moved to the Seattle area have not had the opportunity to fish for lings. Any help would be appreciated.

The Structures off Possesion , Hat Island you name the game , area or man made reef in all these locations have been reduced to a 5-7 lber a trophy a few fish come off all these spots the first 10 days then it becomes very lean.

They had made a real rebound around 2002 and have back slided bad each year since then in all these locations that over 1,000 good= not great Rods all know.

Each of these areas inside will have 25 tubs over the same structures so you can do the math on these very slow growing fish and yes I have sinned as well:money:

I am also linked to 3-4 of the Best Spear gun Killers in the Bay and they are now crying the blues as well to all of these local waters that are ground and pounded to death.

There are more Over=sized Ding a Lings in the Edmonds Dive park then all of these open waters that are close 10-1 Fact:-$

2 guys could take a open tub pitch plastics Oil colors/Bass style jigs with some Octy/herring combo plates :nemo: into the rocks/structure right out front of Edmonds Marina that buffers the boats and protects the Marina/Not the Dive park and if they have pitching and wrists skills hook more Lings then all these open waters inside for 10 days combined on a incoming tide:cheers:

You name the structure, reef or man made materials to Create local Ling, Rockers and more habitat and I will name the date and year it was reduced.

Heck I never say never and a few will get lucky on a few good fish but all these local structures will be poor returns for the efforts made in the real numbers of pressing.

North or West is best by far and runs farther you press the better like all of nature it avoids pressure and man if it can!:-" #-o

That being said the Edmonds Pier:colors: :dwarf: will be smoking += crack:cyclopsan

A-9 you know the date time and opener not for me show all the oversized results from the structures off Possesion spikes with ((PICTURES)):-$ not words and say hi to Noel, Chip, Brian, Tom, Steve and 35 more I know:cheers:

15 days.....

Making some "Larry Dahlberg" style bottom fishing spinnerbait rigs....heavy leadhead, bicycle spoke, "epoxy in a spoon" for a blade, stinger 8inches off, and a nice juicy 10 dab= My victory over the masses and the transfer of the KING LING 2009 :batman:

Swede.....Swede giving away the not so secret Puget Ling breeding area...:albino:

He is absolutely correct about the Edmonds waterfront..the brood are chased out by the big ones..one of the best place to get legal...legal lings.:safe:

This year I plan to hunt my Ling in last years winner's (Rollin with Rolland) Area 7. :rambo: :rambo: :rambo:
His was 39inches...I think? :salut:

So?? Hey are there really only 3 of us looking for some teeth?????

Rock the Rocks with the best ya got!

that sounds like a pretty cool Idea kayak chris. I'm going to see if I can create a similar spinnerbait.
