Jay or AaronE I was going to shop a little before hand since I don't get down that way too much. How far is Cabela's from where we are meeting? And what other good fishing stores are in the area? I guess I should say stores specifically geared toward bass or with good bass gear selection.

Thanks.
Cabela's is between 45 minutes to an hour from Spanaway if I remember correctly. SPORTCO in Fife has a good inventory of all things fishing, boating, etc..., and is on your way down from the Seattle area.
Thanks Kevin .. just sent her a pm with the exact same info. You are getting all the voices in my head jealous. Quit thinking for them ... laughs.
'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.

There may be some overlap between the voices in your head and those in mine. At least that's what they told me 8-[.

I'm on my way to Cabela's right now to pick up my new fishfinder. Will probably hit Sportco on the way home (haven't been there before) and then get the rest of my stuff together for the meeting tonight when I get back.

See you all soon!

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it to the first club meeting last night. There was a lot of excitement and it was fun meeting new people who share our love of floatin' and bassin'

Next weekend looks like a good time to hit the water and get some casting in and I'm hoping this warming trend later in the week sticks around for a few months. I'm jonesing to get out and try out the new gear.

It was nice meeting everyone. I'm excited about the club and the new fishing prospects that will open up to us this year. Thanks AaronE and Jay for getting the club started

BTW, did you get a chance to work on installing that FF today? How did that go?

Maybe someone else on the forum can remember who this was.... but there was a regular guy on here last summer who built his own sweet looking trailers for towing his pontoons. I think that Marc Martin may have commented on them (Marc-- do you remember?) I just figure that this guy would know something about welding/fabrication ideas. The guy posted pics. on here somewhere.

Still working on it - didn't have as much time on Sunday to work on it as I had hoped. But I have everything I need to get it strapped on, just need to figure out the best way to mount the transducer to the PVC pipe then strap it all on. I'm probably going out next Sunday to that pond in Kent to try it out. My wife got me all booked up for Saturday already but I might be able to sneak out for a few hours hehe....

I agree with you Aaron. I think the meeting was a great success ... snow and all. It was great to meet up with a group excited about tubing and bassing. There was alot of great ideas on a direction for the club and this upcoming season will be a blast exploring the different areas and meeting even more people. Thanks for showing up Quadfather and Hookemdanno. I know it was a long trip for you guys and we will work on getting it more central for everyone for the meeting in April. Now that the snow is gone (is it really?) maybe spring can start for us. I will post my notes of the meeting on my blog later today. I was pumped about the meeting I had to get out on the tube yesterday for a couple hours. No fish but did get my son out on his first time on his tube. Thanks again to everyone.

I think you are right BB that it is VHMLLC that had done the work on his pontoon.

Well, good luck with it. If you get out Sunday, let us know how you do. I'm curious to know how the FF on the float tube thing works out
