What are your goals for this year

Post by BassFanatic » Fri Mar 06, 2009 7:39 pm

I am just curious about everyone's goals for this year. Mine is to experience allot of different lakes and throw new baits, Besides catching allot of bigger fish then I did last year, I just want to see were everyone's at for the upcoming season?

"Goals-4-2009-Season"

1. LMB=6lbs + PB 5.15lbs

2. SMB=5lbs + PB 4.3lbs

3. Throw more Swimbaits than I did last season and Bass in more waters!

4. Bass with more WL members.

5. Compete in @ least 2 Open Tourneys.

6. Work with Basstradamus and BassFanatic on making "Team Grippin' Lipps" what we want it 2 be!

For now I think these are very REALISTIC goals!

Since I just picked up bass fishing last year, my goal is to get over 5 pounds this year. 4 lbs. 6 oz was last years best.

My goal is to make more top 10 finishes in tournaments with at least 1 win. It is tough to compete against a lot of these guys in the various circuits such as NW Bass and ABA. Another goal of mine is to not fall back onto old reliable baits and patterns so quickly. I need to think outside the box a bit more and need to be willing to try some off the wall stuff. I would also like to throw some more swimbaits this year. I have zero confidence in them, so I need to work on that for sure.

I want to build an outrigger for my pirogue so I can take my kid's or dog out fishing without fear of tipping and add some other general improvements to my boat.
:-k

I also want to fish some lakes that I have never fished before. I am going on my first solo camping trip - more of a reward than a goal.

I would like to catch some saltwater fish.:fish:

1. Help my son catch his first bass
2. 4# LMB, 2# SMB
3. Join a fishing club (how else am I going to learn and catch that 4 pounder?)
4. Fish at least once within every month ... no matter how cold ... shivers.
5. Fish 5 new lakes
'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.

My goals...well of coarse I want that hawg smallie and lmb. Learn more techniques...other than cranks
and spinnerbaits but most importantly....More trips more often. I figure more time on the water and everything
else "SHOULD" fall into place.

I'd have to say that I'm right along those same lines. I want to hit some new lakes, throw some new baits, and I think my fish goal is to get a 6 pounder LMB. I think I can pull it off.
