Catch and Release "Hows and Whys" Part One...

Post by bad esox » Tue Mar 03, 2009 4:14 pm

Hey,

I just wanted to let everyone know that in the March 2009 issue of Muskies Inc., MUSKIE Magazine that there is a fantastic article dealing with Catch and Release. It is part one of a a two part article by John Underhill. It is truly a great article!!!.
(FYI: This is the monthly magazine issued to each member of Muskies Inc.)

The article is a designed as an "aid". The author John Underhill states:" I hope it aids you in the release of Muskie and Pike bringing some of the philosophical understanding of the principles and the need for conserving some of our greatest resources "ESOX".

"Catch and release is one of the most important fisheries management tools for muskie, large pike, and other species. The benefits of C &R are lauded around the world as a way to preserve the resources we all enjoy".

I hope you all get a chance to read this article and also the second article when it is released in a future issue of MUSKIE. In the second article "we will go into detail about the proper handling of muskies during catch and release situations".

If you are a member of NW TIGER PAC, Chapter 57 of M.I., check this informative article out in the March issue of your magazine. It is well worth your time. Share this information with your friends and fellow muskie anglers who may not receive this magazine.

"Catch - Photograph - Release" (CPR)...will also be a topic covered at the "Muskie School" April 4th, 2009...see the NW TIGER PAC website for more information about the school etc...

Please remember "catch and release" works for any angler wishing to help conserve this resource and create the best muskie fishery possible.

Until part II good fishing!
>----):< A good gamefish is too valuable, to be caught only once.
