To fish the Sauk I would go to Darrington and head North to the Skagit.

The first great hole for Nates is where the tribe river meets the Sauk and right off the road watch the sliding rocks!!!

Many of the best holes are dirt roads and remote but there are a few good ones right off the main road but its best in a drift boat or Toon.

It is also one of the 1st little river systems to go out and come back in :-$

The upper Skagit above Rockport has beef as well:cyclopsan :chef:

Yeppers they acclimate right there  in numbers but the 20lbers and up are remote dirt roads Swede stuff, very remote stuff.

The confuence hole let it sit in the tail out for about 10 secs after you complets your drift before you do another drift they smack it many times it the tail out while the flows move it ever so lightly.

Make sure your in the Sauk only:-$ the other will be $$$ and tribe waters :-#

Swede,

Yeah, leader length. I've got some 10lb flouro to tie up some more leaders. And, I got that slinky making kit you mentioned.

Do you add anything to your puffers to help them float?

I made me some of these, but in the Saukster SwedishMeatball color pattern :-$ (and a little smaller profile)

Now if this was Bonics Class :-$
1st= I would use smaller Colored Gamas only

2. Match the body, puffer, corkies, presentation to the hook color!!!:-$

3. Your Floats will work Great but I would use color not white:-$

4. FISH ON!!!

PS add a drop of Chartruse in there with the pink twisting the yarn together will making your goodies:cyclopsan :chef:

As they say match the hatch=down to the hooks to your Body and colors the biggest mistake most drifters MAKE!:-$ :-#
