online bass gear stores?
Can some of you recommend what online vendors you like for bass gear in Western Wa. I know that leaves a lot of stuff up for discussion, but just consider for smallies and a variety of bait types. I seem to think that most of you guys shop online. Most of the retail places within greater seattle carry the same stuff from what I can see, and not always that interesting of baits either.

RE:online bass gear stores?
The specialty tackle stores in the greater Seattle area like 3 Rivers Marine, Auburn Sports and Marine, Angler's Choice, etc. will have pretty much everything you need for smallmouth fishing around here. These stores have listened to successful local anglers over the years and stock the lures that are consistent producers in this area. There are some specialty baits that are not available in Western Washington and must be purchased online, but most of these are the $20.00 to $100.00+ swimbaits and $15.00 to $30.00 hard baits.
I believe it is especially important in these tough economic times that we support our local businesses whenever possible. However, some people have geographic limitations which makes online shopping a better option. Also, there is some specialty tackle that can be tough to locate in this State.
In these cases I would check out:
www.316lurecompany.com
www.tacklewarehouse.com
www.basstackledepot.com
www.backwatersonline.com
www.kgmcustombaits.com (many products available locally)
www.landbigfish.com

Another vote for 3 Rivers or Auburn Sports and Marine...
Very localized tackle shops, great customer service/support/knowledge and good prices....
Much more and better gear than you'll ever see at Joes or any similar store....
Quad I guarantee you won't be disappointed. I have a hard time spending my tackle $$$ anywhere else then 3 Rivers now...

Thanks for the tips guys, I too would be happy to shop locally, but I just haven't come across anywhere that has anything beyond Joe's selection, which I wouldn't call much. I admit that I have wanted to check out 3 rivers or whatever it's called in Woodinville, but I haven't made it there yet. I will give them a check out soon.

I didn't see anyone list West Coast Custom Tackle. Check out their website. Everything I have seen from WCCT has been quality, and definitely made to catch fish around here. It's also a local company, with frequent postings on this site.

Hey Sparky,
Backwaters has a few niche items that are pretty sweet. It looks like they remodeled the site recently. I will have to check it out more in depth soon.
As far as fishing in the "O", you don't have to ask me twice. I will take you up on that offer for sure. I will be down visiting my family at some point this Spring. I daydream about those Thurston County hawg troughs all the time.
Maybe we can go throw swimbaits at a little lake that rhymes with "sword".

I will also have to give two thumbs up to WCCT, http://www.westcoastcustomtackle.com, DJ is great and I love the abilty to custom order what I like and what I think will work for me instead of getting the same thing millions of others are throwing into the water. Another local that I havent used as of yet is Destiny Tackle, http://www.density-tackle.com. I haven't tried the Panic Minnow as of yet but plan on giving it a try this spring.

Hey im missing something here , has anyone seen my thunder ? lol
Thanks kevin for the shout out man , Kevin is just giving his honest opinion about a great local tackle company and @ the end of the day thats what it's all about .. I personaly dont stand behind anything that i dont use or believe in , But i will tell ya that D.J. from WCCT is a tourney angler himself and his baits are well proven prior to being sold (no trash baits) ..
ahhhhh did u here that ? sounds like thunder too me ..lol

The Panic Minnows are phenomenal lures. Check out the website. Most of the local stores carry them which is convenient. Give the Panic Minnows a try this Spring. They are proven fish catchers.

Quad,
I have bought items from Jann's Netcraft in the past and have not been disappointed. I'm not heavy into bass, but if you like to customize your gear they have the stuff with which to do it. They also sell finished gear/baits, some of which I want to try out on salmon. The price of a quality hoochie is getting out of hand and I think a tube or shad type bait will work just fine.
