Dose any one know why if your bass fishing you can't fish the closed lakes untill the trout opener? Bass fishing is open year around.

Probably because anyone could go out and say that they are "bass fishing" and "incidentally" catch and release trout.

I dont think there is a "Trout" season, "Fishing Season" is what Ive alwayse known it as. On some lakes, trout can be fished year round and at the same time other species are closed or limited in some way. Mayfield and Sammamish are good examples.

The best bass lakes are the ones that are closed untill the trout opener. The HAWGS bite befor this time. Well the big ones at pre spawn. I just think its wrong to keep the bassers out when every one on these Lks want the bass to be caught and out of there Lks. It's funny to me.
