These are a steal!
The mods put up a deal section in the freshwater section, but everything I find is bass related. Here are a few for your viewing pleasure. I can not take credit for these, but I will take great pleasure in helping another score a deal!
Clearance Shimano Crucials
Kistler Rods- Graphite, Magnesium, LTA's from $65
If my wife loosens the purse strings, I may get me a 6'3" Magnesium Dock Senko Special. They are going fast, so get them soon.

RE:These are a steal!
Auburn Sports is having a customer appreciation sale on the 9th of December (6pm - 9pm). There will be big savings, and I am going to be spending my money there to support the local community. Tired of the big box stores.....there personality goes as far as the newest salesman they have in that week.....
RE:These are a steal!
Never knew Kistlers were made in China. I may have to stop in at Auburn during the sale, even though I already spent too much.

Dang!!! I think I am dyslexic!!! My eyes locked onto the red numbers and made me think that was the price. Still, a great deal. Although I did get my crucial for $59.00

I'm heading to Auburn too. Like Brian, I'd like as much of my $$$ going to the local folks. The guys at Auburn have always been great.

I've got several "ugly stik lite" spinning rods and like them very much. Bang for the buck is superb -- never paid more than $30. They are also VERY though and don't require any special care. Scratches give them character...
Maybe it's time to give one of these fancy schmancy rods a try. After all, when I don't ask Santa (the wife) for something specific, I end up with miscellaneous crap that I don't need OR want.
The kistler IM7 costs significantly less moolah than the crucial IM9. Is there really that much difference between IM7 & IM9?

Those numbers IM'X' don't mean anything by themselves. Depends on how the blanks are rolled and with what other materials. I will post an article I have (got to find it on my PC) about graphites to shed some light on the situtation for you.HillbillyGeek wrote:I've got several "ugly stik lite" spinning rods and like them very much. Generally speaking the lighter the rod the greater the sensitivity, which enables the maker to make a rod with less material for the same strength. I'll stop here though as I am not an expert.
If you are used to an ugly stick and held a crucial, you will notice a night and day difference and be blown away. Take this from someone to which an uglystick is sensistive (me). :bball:
