square tail, orange fins. looks like some brook trout in that fish, possibly 100%.

Okay, I'll fess up. It's an Apache Trout, ( http://www.cooperativeconservationameri ... sp?pid=136 ) Caught out of Hurricane Lake, on the White Mountain Apache Reservation, back in '93
The orange-ish fins come from the fact that this particular trout was getting her spawning colors on.

Well done. Did you get a less grainy picture you could e-mail me? I would love to have one for my records. In my day (~1965), you had to have an invite to fish for them; do they allow more open fishing in the White Mountains now?
Too much water, so many fish, too little time.
