Hello everyone just running a quick question by. I went fishing the other day at long lake just to try my luck for perch and bluegill but ended up getting skunked. Anyways I noticed that the weeds are slowly dying of and I was wondering if any of the 'tubers on here have managed to have any success on this lake. I have seen pontoons out there but no float tubes. Everytime I go out there it has been windy so that may be the main discouraging factor but I am looking for a different body of water that is local (just in case the wife beckons.. not that i care ) so I'd like to stay int he port orchard vicinity and figured this would be a good place to get at least 2 more of my 17 swimbaits that are dry wet for the first time.
Thanks
RB

You can also try Sqaure Lake in Port Orchard. The park itself is closed but the park ranger said if you want to use the lake or the park.Just park on the side of the road and walk in just don't block the gate. All the bass I caught there are small. But there is plenty of perch and bluegill.Just a thought.I have used the lake a few time since the gate was shut with out any problems like I said just don't block the gate and you will be fine.

Well went the other day out in the float tube and fished up curley creek and just outside of that cove. No fish were landed but had one hit on a 6" Baby wake in trout color and another miss on a 6" rainbow trout hudd. Only thru swimbaits the whoel time I was there but a guy on the dock wasn't having luck with senkos. I didn't have a thermometer but the water was a bit chilly. I guess after reading trents thread and report I should've burnt a spinner . Oh well I know theyre still out there
