kidding kidding- some unfortunate soul accidentally left this bag of 5" green senko's for me to find..I have never had any luck w/fake worms. So, I live on a private lake, and just for poops and giggles, throw one on, first cast, I land a half pound bass...I have no idea what I did, I felt a tap tap and set the hook and fish on! I think I have a small crush on these Senko's, but not sure yet. I am a trout fisherman - light tackle- kinda fella- but, these worms have been giving me butterflies in my tummy when I look at them...are they THAT good????

We need to go back to potholes - me and my boy were talking about doing the dock tourney, but I have a wedding to go to...but at least I will fish the columbia for smallies on sunday! but back to Senko's, what size do you use? color? and man, I can't tell when a bass enhales them...my private little lake holds MONSTERS! and only because I was able to see mine that pushed 6+ and toss a night crawler was I able to catch it..

I have still yet to give in to the Senko "addiction". I still fish with the classic curl tails and I don't know why, other than that I have decent success on my tried and true equiptment. I have a hard time changing what already works for me. My friend throws Senkos about 90% of the time when tossing plastics and he does really well. I think that I might throw in the towel and give them a shot in the near future. I know that a lot of other bassers on this site and guys I talk to at different lakes use them, so why not.

I too have had good success w/mr twister grubs and even have some calling out to me, but I always go to roostertails or my trusty Rapala when fishing for LMB- smallies I use different technique..so while I am supposed to working, I have been doing a little bit of research on Senko's and proof is in the pictures and I already have several bids on EBAY on a few lots...

Hello my name is skimpy and I'm a "senko-holic". =d> Now that I got that off my chest. When I throw plastics it's usually a senko. I have tried others, but none realy compare. I usually use 5" As far as color. I have a lot, I have the best luck with green pumpkin/watermelon and my favorite smoke, with blue, gold flake. Welcome aboard to the senko team JENS

Not to be a male part but its a clutch bait"and im glad i got off that drug"yes they do work but learn flippin pitchin use jig pigs football jigs learn to skip with a baitcaster tubes and kreature baits.Progress your knowledge and adapt to other thing which in the long run will make you a better than you are fisherman,i dont have 20 min for a senko to sink 20',but maybe something you senkoholics can try is dropshot a senko with about 10'-12' leader'with 1/2oz weight to get it down fast leave the weight in contact with the bottom lift pole up 10-12' and let the senko work deep for you,just a qwik tip thought i would share,just my 2cnts

What pound test are you using? I use 4 and when I make my cast, the splash is like a Daryl Hannah splash..lots of noise and commotion which is good for bass, but it really is loud and doesn't hit the water say naturally, more like a pair of Canadian Geese...and I swear in my no motor no wake zone lake, the property owners peek out their windows to make sure there isn't a boat out there...it is that loud.

I appreciate the knowlege from "o-town." I do. but, I am one of those lucky mf-bleep bleep fisherman that will catch a hawg- a monster- a pig- using light tackle and small bait..personally, to lug around telephone poles and using ropes, is like me in a club when I was 30 looking 25 taking home hot just turned 21 newbies...I like the fight of a fish with the light line. Hey, is there a Senko question response here- well, I am winning on EBAY on some 3" senko's...woo hoo!

depending on size of senko determines the size of EWG hook to use,skip under everything and anything the lure fishes for you all you gotta do is watch your line

my lake is sooo small..should be classified as a pond. Lema and I both wonder where these NESSIE'S hide..I had one on the other night w/a topwater but it came off...I have been using a size 6 red GK, weedless. I am boatless right now- but have an idea where the biguns are hiding.

Look into gamakatsu 3/0-6/0 EWG hooks not the superline ones and you dont need them for you light gear

I'm feeling a "Welcome-2-Da-Darkside" coming on Jens,..howzit bro,..tell the boy I said hey!,..Senkos,...hmmmm,..I have some,..I use them for trailers on my Chatters and I D-Shot them sometimes,..I'm a Chucker as Sparky101 would put it,..but on ocassion I'll throw Plastics and when I do Senkos and Creatures will suffice. Man I sure would love 2 fish your water!

I'd increase your pound test to at least 8lb. Four pound is too lite. Largemouth usually likes hanging out in cover, you need to horse them out or they'll break your line.

I used to fish the Senko (or something just like it) continuously starting in 2004, but over the year and a half or so, I've found myself reaching for many other baits first. For some reason, I haven't done as well with them up here as I had in the South, but it's allowed me to expand my repertoire and try new things first, rather than relying on the old stand by.
