Muskie Club Representatives ?
well we are getting closer to scratching that itch!
we have larger lures in our box, much larger than the ones we start with in the beginning of the year, with a few more are slowly trickling in. that being said, we want to branch out before the end of the year, and see if this fish / club peaks our interest. we are always looking for something bigger [lol - not necessarily better - sorry had to put that one in, gotta love them bassheads].
we are looking to branch out from our existing bass clubs and possibly join a new one. with that in mind, are meetings mandatory? we may be able to attend a few meetings throughout the year, but weekday meets are nearly impossible to attend for us. would that pose a problem with your respected club?
fishing tournaments are not really our thing, we would prefer to attend fishins. though tournaments that are local may be a possibility.
so please tell me more about your club
we wanna catch a giant!

RE:Muskie Club Representatives ?
It would be great to meet you guys, I've read your posts for along time. Bill and I would be glad to show you around Tapps and give you some pointers anytime. If you go to a meeting, most of the members are more than willing to help the new guys and answer their questions. Meetings aren't mandatory, Bill and I don't make very many since he works swingshift. So far all we've had are tournaments but a bunch of us are working towards having some just friendly fishins next year. You are always welcome to meet up with Bill and me at Tapps though and just fish and visit. Hopefully they'll keep the water level up for awhile longer this year.

Roseann, if you and Bill show up for the Sept. meeting, I promise you a couple of really good stories about what Tony and I really did at Merwin Lake that I couldn't put in my fishing report. Besides the naked girl in the Speelyai parking lot.

T Dot, even if you can't attend the meetings, there is value in membership because you will be supporting an organization that is working to sustain and improve a quality muskie fishery in our state, and Chapter 57 also offers opportunities for interaction with other muskie anglers, and to participate in projects and social events that occur at or near our tiger muskie lakes on weekends. For your annual dues, you'll also get a free subscription to Muskies Inc.'s monthly magazine that covers muskie fishing all over the country.

Hey T Dot,
I agree with what Roseann,Kevinb and Don have said. To add if I may you can also get some discounted rates for hotel/motel stays and some boat insurance benefits. There will be some other things added with the new regime taking over with Muskies Inc. The website is pretty good and it to is being updated as we speak. Check out www.muskiesinc.com And even our own website is really awesome. Check out www.nwtigermuskies.com if you have not already. If you can, come check out a meeting.Third Thursday of every month up at the Rountable off of 348th in Federal way. We've got a bunch of great folks in our Chapter that will welcome you like a friend...
If your looking to hit the water...heck Bill and Roseann will meet up with you...Heck I'll extend an invitation myself...anytime I can get out on the water I will..especially for Tigers.Glad you are interested. Hope to see you soon.

T Dot, I agree with your statement, I dont to the tourneys much either, mostly the fish-ins and more relaxed type fishing. You dont have to attend the meetings even though they can be very informative. Some clubs have hundreds or thousands of members... they all cant possibly show up...
Are you planning on shore fishing??? Im pretty sure you will have an issue launching a "The Pirate Ship" in most of the local bass lakes, the launches just aint that deap.

thank you for the generous offer, i hope to take you up on that offer someday soon. if by chance you both are available early october, we can probably setup a date and time.Rosann G wrote:It would be great to meet you guys, I've read your posts for along time. hopefully my posts have been informative for you. i try to only post what i know, and participate in threads i have experience in. ive noticed along the way, some anglers give out pointers even though they do not have first hand knowledge or experience in that topic. which in my mind is a copy/cut paste type of job. if you know the internet machine, you can google that yourself, which most posters have already done.
when do you guys finalize all the fishins for next year? we are spreading our wings persay, and joining a bunch of other clubs as well. so if we are able to plan ahead, the better for us.
please keep us up to date.
thanks

its good to see the money goes to the right places. some clubs are just in it for the profit, i try to stay away from those ones. i dont really need a subscription, as it will probably go directly into the recycle bin. i rather read online and save a few trees.Don Wittenberger wrote:T Dot, even if you can't attend the meetings, there is value in membership because you will be supporting an organization that is working to sustain and improve a quality muskie fishery in our state, and Chapter 57 also offers opportunities for interaction with other muskie anglers, and to participate in projects and social events that occur at or near our tiger muskie lakes on weekends.
