Does anyone bass in Seward Park area? Andrews Bay area? I've been out a few times and cant get a hit.One question I have is when throwing the top water baits with the propellars on it,do you bring them in med fast or reel /twitch it/reel more/twitch more ? How are these lures used. The frog, salamander, and those things are pretty easy to use.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

Hey racfish,..there's really no "Wrong-Way" 2 fish top water,..for me if it's cold I'll slow my retrieve,..and visa-versa,..depends on if/when you get a hit,..gotta wait for the Bass 2 tell you what it wants,..until then it's a hit-n-miss kinda thing,..ya feel me? When tossin frogs just depends on me and how I feel that day,..LOL,.then I take note what I'm doing when a strike occurs!

LOL..Is that a bass lure.Poppers in the city are lures of a different kind.I had to chuckle when you mentioned it.By the way what is a popper?

Like a floating crankbait but the mouth is concave...Some have rattles in them
You twitch it on the surface and it makes a pop sound...sort uvvvv
I'll see if I can find a clip of one

Sounds like your trying to catch largemouths in that area...i've never had much luck around seward park for LMB's. I have caught a few tiny ones on accident with a worm and bobber in the pads. The big ones are probably in there though, just try along the pads.
I've also accidently caught about a 1lb LMB off the fishing dock at stan sayres, but i have no idea why it was there, the area doesnt look like it should hold bass.

there is a few LMB hiding under that big pine tree near the pads but trying to cast in there and get them is the tough part because it is so thick in there

RE:Bassin Seward Park
Just to let you know, one time while fishing Lk Wa I ran into a guy who showed me and kzoo a picture of a bass that was at least 8lbs. He said it came from "Sewer Park" and he tagged her on a spinnerbait. Now this was a month ago but they are in there. Just search them out and you will be rewarded. This week I would get out as much as possible. You just don't know how much more of this weather we will lhave until it it gets real crappy and they go deep. Plus it will be miserable to be on the water. Good luck out there racfish, keep at it.
