Bass TV shows

Post by The Quadfather » Tue Sep 02, 2008 7:17 pm

What are some of the fishing/bass shows that you all recommend? And what channels are they at? I don't watch TV, so I am probably out touch. I'd like to check some of this stuff out.

Versus and Sportsmans Channel, also Outdoors Channel. What cable you have? Charter?

Like I said, I don't watch TV, but I assume you mean Comcast.

The ony thing I really watch is Hunt For Big Fish. Its not a bass show, but more of a predatory type fish show. Wolffish, Pike, Golden Dorado, Peacocks, amazon catfish, them crazy style ones. Its pretty cool to watch.

Not too many references to sponsors like Mr Roland Martin with all his sunblock, Spro Aruku, Basspro, Megastrike, Bppyah, Yamamoto, Rocket Rod, SONNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Geez I hate that guy(envy)

Vesus Channel

Comcast has some good recordings under Sports and then Angling. Look around. You should be able to find it. Sometimes Sportskool has some fishing instructions on it as well.

And of coarse the best fishing programming around is ESPN Outdoors on Saturdays. Early early morning. Problem is if I'm not sleeping in I'm already out fishing. But if I could recommend any fishing shows these would be it. Worth getting up early for.

Thankfully the invention of the DVR helps in capturing these shows even when airing in the early morning, giving the ability to watch them when the free time arrives for such. I will have to agree with fishnislife ... Versus Channel and also ESPN Outdoors. On demand with Comcast will have some smatterings as well with some quick bits of shows and information.
'course they don't have biscuits and gravy ... but if they did, I bet everyone would eat there.

If you really want to get a kick out of a couple of shows these are my two faves!!
1. Beat Charlie Moore Fishing (ESPN SAT AM at 5)-Really funny and great fishing some shows get annoying but for the most part it is a lot of different BASS SPINY RAY TYPE FISHING

2. Columbia Country-FOX 28 (SPOKANE CHANNEL) Sundays around 4PM (Sometimes on SAT if Seahawks are playing). Two great guys who fish all over the Northwest including Canada and Alaska. Mostly do Trout/Salmon fishing but great show, good tips and entertaining.

World Fishing Network if you have Dish. Fishing shows 24 hours a day, I think it's channel 394. Roland Martin, Jimmy Houston, all sorts of famous anglers, even some FLW tour events. Best channel for fishing I've found. But it's not just bass fishing, although it seems like it mostly is.

Its all good,...I don't have either.I have on demand but you don't get the whole show and it doesn't cover the Outdoor Channel:-({|=

Quad,..I think you'll like ALL the shows mentioned but I highly recommend Angling Edge,a ton of variety for fish species and Al Lindner rules!!! OK,I'm a dork :-$
