Hate to burst your bubble, but that is a pumpkinseed or a bluegill, I'd put my money on the pumpkinseed. A smallie of that size would be more of a thin, narrow fish, with more consistent coloration.

Looks like a red dot on the gill plate. Nice Pumpkinseed! A mess of them is fun to catch on 2lb line and UL gear!
