I'd love to see a picture of that 9.8lb. LMB.

fishnislife,

I have a picture of that Bass my friend Donny caught...but it's mounted.
His wife had it done for him as a gift.

The Bass was 9.5 pounds...not 9.8 pounds.
Don Laine Jr. caught it...and it was in the Issaquah newspaper.
Not sure what year that was...but it was in the late 80's.

I lost a very large LMB that I'm sure would have broken the State Record.
It was lost at Lake Fenwick in 1996.
I was using a large, very realistic, plastic frog and bouncing it off the lily pads.

I'll try and post a picture of the 9.5 pound Bass...
if it won't affend too many people seeing a mounted fish.

Roadkill, I think you and Donny might be my new best friends. :bounce:
I won't be offended (and I do think others will be either), a bass like that is a catch of a lifetime. Late 80's, keeping and mounting a fish was no big deal. Now with what they can do with replications for mounts, if I caght a bass that big I probably would just get all the stats on it and have a fake one made. Now if it was a potential state record, you would have to keep it to get it officially weighed on a certified scale. PM the pic to me if you think an uproar will be caused by posting it. (But I bet others want to see it to)

Back to the post at hand. I feel trolling is a viable way to catch bass. But for me, I can't just sit there, I have to be reeling and casting. Makes me feel in control I guess. Or it's just my ADD. :cyclops:
