Fall Fishing and Colors for BASS

I don't know if you will get this in time but here goes! I am going to take my family fishing tomorrow and really want to hook into some fish. What are your best tactics for Fall? Here are the approximate set of conditions: Fishing Long Lake (dammed area of Spokane River so fishes more like a river than a lake), water temps will be high 50's-low 60's, water is fairly clear, and the target species is Small Mouth and Largemouth Bass. There is a lot of timber in the lake and some great rocky banks. Are there any colors or presentations that you like best for Fall? What are typically the feeding habits during the Fall?

Not sure if you'll get this in time but for the smallies stick to what usually works for them - flashy crankbaits and crawfish cranks. If the water temp is below 60, slow them down and make sure they're hitting the rocks - smallies are better cold-water biters than LMB, so you shouldn't have to alter your tactics too much just yet. In November, yeah, different story, but first week of September you should still be able to catch them the same way you were a month ago with just a few subtle changes in presentation.

Word Aaron,..colder water,..definately "S-L-O-W-UR-R-O-L-E",..find out what baitfish are present and try your best 2 duplicate them {Match the Hatch}!

I think that is one of the things I have to work on ... slow down ... since it seems sometimes patience is not my best virtue.
