The length of the fish has 2 be determined then you can roughly guess,..20"-4.5# 20.5"-4.9# 21"-5.3# 21"5-5.7# 22"-6.2#,..looks like it's anywheres between there,..I'd say on the top end,..maybe 6# Bucketmouth! Nice job,..!

it was caught in that pond behind him LMAO

i say 5lbs. i caught a bass last yr that had a big head like that with a skinny body as well and only weighed 4.1

The body girth is what puts on most of the weight. That think is on crack hahahahaha

Nice fish!

The bass looks like post spawn. Big head with a smaller body. I'm guess upper fours, maybe 5 depending on the length.

Yeah caught and released, about 30 feet from the picture is the canal I caught it in AND yes, it was in the backyard AND the "pond" behind me had some great fishing and swimming :) I'm a freaking backwoods Florida swampNECK,

Actually, In florida the well water comes out looking like that, its not fun to drink the stuff, but they had to treat the water after they set up the pool for the kids..

Here is some more pics of the canal and yard!

Thats a 6 lb mouth with a low 4 pound body. I'm going to have to say 4.6 lbs. But I'm no expert either. Quality fish to have in a back yard canal !!

When I saw the pic's I told my old lady that looks like a Fl bass and the pines, oak trees gave it away with the help of sand patches in the grass. I would say 4.3 on a good day the fish looks 17in long and not that much of a belly. The bass in Fl look a bit different than the bass up here. there mouths are bigger down south. The first time I caught a LMB here in Wa I thought they were a cross breed with a SMB and a LMB. Back home thats the avg bass caught daily. Man how I would love to get the bite here like you do there. Then every one would Bass fish!
Are you hung up again!

Your not kidding, I made the same mistake when I first started fishing here, caught a LMB and told everyone I was cathing smallmouths that looked liked LMB. Felt like a real dumbass.

Nothing compares to the bass fishing in Florida, I used to go in the swamps for days fighting the biting flies, ticks, leeches, no-see-ums, gators, snakes, boars, and humidity all to catch some fish.

But when you did, was it ever worth it. The fish in the pic is nothing huge for FL, it was however the biggest bass I saw come out of the canal. Most of the bass in there were small like in the picture posted recently.
