Well, I think that beauty GoneFishin caught on the PO River could probably poop this guy whole, but KevinB suggested I post my picture in here (more info in the Panhandle Pike thread in "Beyond Washington). Caught this guy jigging thru the weed beds on Lake CD'A today, Mica Bay, to be specific.

These little guys hit pretty hard and can put up a good fight, but I'm gonna have to try to snag one of GoneFishin's empty seats one of these days to hook into a big daddy!

For the record. This pic is not mine,TroutCowboy caught this dude.

I've mentioned this before, I'm not very BB savvy.....not sure if this pic got around yet.

I just want to know, does that count as one or two fish?? :-"

are we sure that isn't just two fish on the same stringer? my guess is that the smaller one is laying underneath the big one, with its head tucked up under the gill plate of the bigger one. looks like you could hide a freakin' bowling ball behind that gill plate!

Yeah, I'm a bit skeptical myself. It totally looks photoshop to me, but one of my MN buddies sent it to me the other day. It said..."Siamese northern pike caught in White Bear Lake, MN"

he is a good guy, but it was forwarded to him. Just though I'd put it out there. HAL....HAL....did you see this in Outdoor News??? Any confirmation on this??

that's one crazy fish if it's for real. but you're right -- some crazy stuff floats around the internet and you can't trust your eyes anymore.

it'd be a small miracle for it to live to that size with a "parasitic twin" like that stealing food, nutrients, energy, etc.. that's why i was a skeptic. if you ever see those cute two-headed turtles or cats or cows on the "good morning america" or something like that, what they dont tell you is that that poor thing will probably not live to it's 1st birthday, if even it's 6th month because they compete with each other for food, blood, growth, etc.

i fished the the river last weekend and we caught 3 fish over 10lbs and 5 under,we also caught many small mouth and large mouth bass. i would definetly suggest using steel leaders on everthing you throw up there,if you know what i mean or if your rich then just use 6lb mono lol.
