You still want in? I'm aiming for mid-July or August. I would have put something together already but been busy with the bills, fishing and god knows what else.
Thanks for the info, with the crappy weather. I'll try tomorrow, for sure by this weekend.
The water here is very dark...iron maybe? I'm not a biologist but I've wondered why its like this, the water is more like crimson.
I too have noticed that about the water there. I'd love to go with you guys, but I broke my right ankle about a week ago. I won't be doing any fishing for at least 2 months.
Kevin, what colors do you use at 5 mile? I've only gone about 5 times total and the only thing I ever caught was a fingerling trout on a drop shotting earthworm colored robo.
There are big fish there and a boat is perhaps the best bet. DT kicks this lake's fanny.
That sucks,if you got a wheelchair..I'll push ya'. Hell,...ok I'll carry you.(If you want me too:-" )
I usually toss spinnerbaits(white, chartreuse and a blue at times)but I've lossed a few in the pads. I then go to my cranks(Rapalas)Countdowns, huskyjerks but I picked up a few X-Raps and was doing alright at Silver(Spokane)I wouldn't mind tossing some in here or Trout Lake. I need to expand by bass gear,I have a handful of plastics and smaller handful of swimbaits.
VISIT WEST COAST CUSTOM TACKLE SITE .. This guy has the goods .. The goby is killer , the money worm will make you stop using senko's and the west craw is almost life like in the water ..

the bass are very active right now at 5 mile and trout. i have been using a skeet reese lucky craft crankbait that only runs about 4-6 feet. bouncing it off docks posts and bumping bottom and i cant complain with the results. i have got a couple over three so far. nothing big but enough to keep me happy.
sorry to hear about the ankle island bass. im gonna go to steel lake and put a hurting on big mama for ya lol.

You do that for me. You, ChrisB, or KevinB. Bass wise, steel lake is still asleep when I fished it for trout a couple weeks ago but I haven't been there since. Big mama ought to be around the dock now if not soon.

I decided to hijack my own thread(is that legal?)
I'm thinking I'll take my boy up to Trout Lake(next to fivemile)
Just curious if anyone has fished it recently. I fished here a couple weeks ago and lost a dink bass and other than that I end up picking up trash(sad) I know this lake has some lunkers but I havn't found them yet:-({|=
Any ideas for lure choice? Any info helps.
Thanks
Kevin

Fivemile and Trout ar next to each other.
Southbound I-5 to the 320th exit(Federal Way)Left on Pacific, left on 360th,cruise down past the fire station, hang right on Military Rd.S. and down about one mile on the right. BAM!!! Fivemile

No worries and I should have said 348th(not 320th)both will lead you there but 348th will save you a few minutes.
Trout lake is a little trickier,I'll pm you with better info.
