Merwin Lake Tournament

Post by Don Wittenberger » Mon Aug 04, 2008 6:58 am

Tony Welch and I have been planning to fish Merwin from Aug. 18 - 23, and although I didn't expect to participate in the chapter tournament on the 23rd, I did intend to be on the lake that day. This is now in doubt because I aggravated an old back injury this weekend, and as this is an immobilizing injury, my showing up at Merwin will depend on making a quick recovery, but there's no quick fix for a back muscle strain and right now it feels like a fairly severe one.

You could do what the rockstars do. Just party....take a bunch of muscle relaxers and booze,I can't say you won't become another statistic. :clown:

Ok,jokes aside....relax,kick the feet up. Hope your able to fish down there.
I will not be attending,ironically,..I'll be on vacation at Mayfield.

Don: We are so sorry. Hope you get better soon!! Take it easy and stay positive, maybe with the right therapy and anti-inflams, you can do it. Hang in there.
and MH 28, I see you are sticking to your story. :-"

Tiger Muskies are sterile.
You can't keep them under 50 inches:
Let them do their job: Eating N.P.Minnows

Tony and I are both God-fearing teetotalers who never drink, except for medical purposes.

Trying hard not to. I was hoping you might swing by the cabin in the woods on Friday night. Very likely all the food will be gone by then, but there might still be some whiskey and cigars left.

Don't drink or smoke but a good friend would save another friend a steak. I AM a pretty good BSer though.
I'll be checkin in at Lone Fir Resort on Fri evening and signing up anyone that is there. These tourney weekends keep me pretty busy. Even after the weekend I've got a bit of paperwork to do for MI, the Chapter and the WDFW.
On a more positive note, you and your partner could/should swing by Lone Fir Resort for some great commaraderie.
