Fish the back side of the islands with carolina rigged lizards in browns and greens and dropshot baits in some kind of white pattern. Also the bridge pilings are a good bet to drop shot. I also like to always have a rattle trap tied on. A word of warning, pay close attention to the channel marker buoys. This river can eat props. I tore up two props in 3 weeks there. I was fishing up the Yakima though, and the water went from 5' to 2" real quick#-o The fish bite better with some current running. There are also some good pump houses on the main river that hold a bunch of fish. Good luck.

If you don't have a boat or can't find any smallies then the carp fishing is really good on the local piers.
RE:Hows the Tri City's?
Haha I actually thought about that after reading KevinB's thread. I've seen huge carp just lazily swimming around by the piers. I will definitely try if the smallies aren't biting.iPodrodder wrote:If you don't have a boat or can't find any smallies then the carp fishing is really good on the local piers.
And WCCT, thanks for the advice. I'll only have a boat for one day, but this is very helpful!

You want to also have some 1/8 oz jigs with grubs or twin tails in watermelon. My buddy and I kill them on that combo!
