I found a smoking deal on Stren Super Braid on Monsterfishingtackle.net A 300 yard spool of lo-vis green is going for $15-$18 dollars, easily half off retail.
Stren has a $6 rebate offer on their website that is good for twice per household.
So...$9 for a 300 yard spool of Braid:cheers: My attempt to spread the xmas in July cheer
I have ordered from them when they had the Quantum PT's on sale and they are very reputable. Shipping was quick, I got a free shirt and hat, and if you sign up on their forum you can get an extra discount!

RE:Hot Deal #2...
Thanks for the tip! I'm placing an order now.
They also have quantum tour edition pti spinning reels on sale for $159. That's still a lot of cash for a spinning reel -- and that's a savings of $80 compared to the current price @ Cabelas.
Are they really worth that much money? Professional anglers who hook up with big fish every day would probably need high-end gear like this, but I'm not sure if it's something that weekend-only fishermen (like me) really need.
The most expensive spinning reel I own is the pflueger asaro, and list price is only $50. I got mine @ the Joe's tent sale in a combo deal. It was paired with a 7' ultralight ugly stik for $69. Sweet!
