RE:Frogs!
No worries trent, I would never keep a bass or kill a bass. I only said that because it was getting to the point where heck if they aint native we might as well kill them all attitude and since bass are not native so we should kill all them too. there just is no bulls down here, I have planted them in a few places and they are doing well if I could keep the darn blue herons out which I do. since there is alot elsewhere maybe the floods of the last 18 years have done must of the damage? lewis co seems to get the worst of the floods in the past 20 years.

RE:Frogs!
Ok guys,..how did this Thread go from "what about frogs for Bass" to "eating frogs",...?
"Passion-4-Bassin"
RE:Frogs!
Trent, It was one of the few times I didnt have a scale so i'm not 100% sure but my guess was 6.8 to 7.5? I dont know, it was 25 inches, huge head and thick thru the back and tail but not real fat, a big male, I caught a 6.8 before and this thing was bigger. my guess was 7lbs. bb as for the topic i'm sorry i'm the one who screwed it up, I just get worked up when people start talking of eating frogs, sorry again.

RE:Frogs!
You do realize that planting bullfrogs, or any other aquatic specie without a permit from the state is illegal and for good reason. The introduction of non-natives can completely change a fishery and not always for the better.lemagoat wrote:all I was saying is in lewis county they need to stop the unting of them because they are getting scarce, the only places they are, are whereI planted them

RE:Frogs!
Yes I do know that all the bass are transplants and the carp and the perch, etc., etc. All I am saying is that WDFW takes a dim view of putting a non-native specie into any water. I did not mean to offend, I just do not want you to get into trouble.lemagoat wrote:I meant to say transplant, I took bf from one spot and moved them to another, so take that however you want. doesnt anyone know all bass in wash state are not native?
