Stocked Trout Lakes/Ponds - Kid needs to hook into a fish
I have a two year old daughter that is already in love with fishing. She is very excited but lacks the patience at this age to sit quietly for a bite. Hoping that there may be a stocked pond in Seattle Area (or surrounding) that charges for access to a pond that gets her a fish on (almost guranteed ). Any ideas?

Thartzell,
Yes there is a great trout pond.... actually the property holds two ponds I believe. the only thing is remembering exactly where it is??
It is either going to be a Renton or Kent address. So you could do some calling 411 info. and asking about trout ponds under those cities.
Basicly it is located up over the hill from Hwy 167 go over past Valley Hosp. it is a road running parralel to the main drag which goes north and south along Kent east hill.
Well, that's was crap for explaining anything..... somebody else jump in here and help. This place is VERY cool. It is a total no brainer. Hold pole...apply power bait, bait hits water.... fish on. Then there is a second pond (same place) that has serious lunkers of like 5lbs.
That will get dad even a little excited.

I am not sure if it is still there or not but there used to be a pay to fish trout farm near Woodinville. I believe it is called Bear Creek Trout Farm. Good Luck.

There is also a place called Troutlodge U-Fish out in Orting and one in Tacoma/Spanway at 4924 268th St East/Spanaway 98387; 253-875-0356 or 253-370-5124. Might be a bit of a drive, but they should be guaranteed fish.

Here you go, it's called "Gold Creek Trout Farm". Gold Creek Park is the area in the map above. Pricing below may be old.
Gold Creek Trout Farm
Visitors only pay for the fish they catch; prices start at $3.50.
Phone: 425-483-1415

I know this is a little ways from Seattle but I was just there this weekend so i thought I would mention it. Offut lake resort has a net pen by there dock. It has some big fish in it and they charge $10 a fish. I think this price is a little steep, but I haven't been to one pf these things for years. Another reason I recommended this because it would be a great place to go for the weekend to catch perch, bass, bluegill and then on the way home let them get a chance at a bigger fish. Offut lake is in Tenino, and sits about 60 miles south of seattle

Take the kids up to Jake's pond...
This pond is full of Cutthroat trout...
one exit just above Issaquah on I-90.
From Seattle you take the Highpoint exit...
Exit 20, I believe.
Stay to the right...do not go left back under I-90.
Take the first left...and park near the metal gate, the road is blocked off.
the road was blocked off several years ago due to people leaving trash and abandoned cars down there.
Park along the road, do not block the gate.
Walk past the gate and head east...
you will walk about 150 yards down the hill...
then pass through a tall wooden barrier gate.
The pond is off to the right, about 50 feet from the wooden barrier.
This is a great place to take the kids...
a worm and a bobber and they are going to be catching fish!~
A lot of the locals take their kids there from time to time to teach them how to fish.
But there is never more than a couple people there each time I have taken my kids there.
I have taken all 4 of my kids there and they really enjoyed it when they were 3 or 4 years old.
They are grown up now and still talk about fishing the little pond up at Highpoint.
Here is a map for you...
Please be kind and pick up after yourselves.

Fishing is like sex,
when it's good, it's real good,
and when it's bad,
it's still pretty good.
