Good luck out there everyone. It'll be a crazy one with the weather... watch our for the pleasure boaters because they won't be watching out for you.

I will be attending Bar Association meetings this weekend.

I also don't plan to participate in the club's Merwin tourney but Tony, Mike, and I are planning to fish Merwin that week and we'll probably be on the lake the day of the club tournament. Our friend Vince in Portland, who is now a Chapter 57 member, says he's planning to participate in the Merwin tourney. He asked me to fish with him, but fishing Merwin before the tourney will disqualify me under the club's tournament rules.

My wife and I will be there too! It is going to be real warm out there so be sure and take precautions against heat stroke and sunburns. I know this is one of those things that "won't happen to me", but just be careful and take breaks in the shade, under the bridge or wherever if you start getting too warm. The numbskulls in ski boats will be out in full force too, so be courteous to them and avoid confrontation so we can all have a great, safe day!

See you all there!

Heck of a day. Got 2 fish. The 36" didnt count towards the Tourney. We netted it. Measured it ON the side of the boat. Pinched the tail. 36 on the button. It flipped a bit and flopped back into the lake. Lesson learned. Never take it out of the net to measure it.And wait until the witness shows up. Hooked up and netted and got a witness for our 40"X18.5 Tiger with 10 minutes left in the event. The lake was way crazy. I find it funny with the Jet Skiers, skiers and wake boarders. I didn't find it funny is when a guy has a motor problem, take the outboard top off and your hangin off the back end of your boat the other boaters and jet skiers try to get even closer to you..! I totally understand your pain MH28..Sorry you didnt get a Tiger!! They are there really..we locals couldnt really figure them out either. I took a photo of you 3 fine gentlemen in the morning before blastoff. I forwarded it to Kup she''l probably send it to you. PM me your regular email address and I can send it to you...Glad you had a safe trip back...Take care,Todd

Congrats to the winners. Great turnout. Good to see some of our south end members make the long drive for this event.
Two fish measured so only a 1st and 2nd place payout. I wish we could have spread out the money more but clear water, calm super bright weather and a million inconsiderate jerks can make for a tough bite. Ya gotta admit, it sure was pretty out there before everyone else woke up! Hope to see ya at the next one.
