Signs at Merwin

Post by muskyhunter28 » Mon Jun 16, 2008 8:46 am

There are still NO signs at Merwin!!!!

I DON'T THINK ANYONE IS CATCHING ANYTHING THERE ANYWAYS!!
But the 50 inch signs would be nice.

Just putting that out there...

Wasn't it PDX that said he caught a couple there at least 6 weeks ago?

You SHOULD see signs anyday now. I'm growing tired of people dragging their feet on this issue. These signs should of been up prior to the last weekend of April.I think ALL of us have been very patient, but my patience is wearing very thin now.
Thanks for the heads up and keep us updated.

These aren't WDFW launch sites; the power company owns them. I'm wondering if Pacific Power has to approve the signs, and if this has gotten bogged down in their bureaucracy?

Well to add to this no signs topic.... Phil and I were out at Silver this morning and were commenting on there not being a sign up anywhere! If Silver doesn't have one I doubt Newman has one. The problem with this is that I went into Sportsman's Warehouse on my way up to the Pend Oreille River and there hangs a picture of a very proud man holding up his <40inch muskie.... In his driveway.... Victim of ignorance... So where the hell are the signs? Somebody needs to call somebody and find out or let me know who to call and I will find out or make some myself.

Gone Fishin, thanks for keeping an eye out for the 50" signs.
Some of them have hit a snag with the installation, it seems.
But WDFW is aware of our concern and they are working on it, that is what I was just told.
In the meantime, if I send you a couple of flyers the Chapter has made, could you post them in a few places.. not at the launches,
but at SPORTING GOOD stores?
They are not waterproof, so outside at a launch won't work, but it could sure help at the picture board in some of these stores.
I will gladly mail them to anyone who is reading this and wants to help get the word out, too.
Just PM me your address ( info kept confidential) and I will send them ASAP.

BRAVO ZULU, muskyhunter28!!
And thanks for the PM asking for more!
They are on their way.

Along with 1/2 dozen copies of the June issue of MUSKIE magazine.
Since it has those great pix of you and your dad on the back page,
I figured you would want to pass a few along to family & friends.
