Chapter 57 Lake Tapps Musky Tournament

Post by Deadeyemark » Tue Jun 03, 2008 8:52 pm

Just a reminder to those that plan on fishing the Chapter 57 musky tourney on Lk Tapps June 28: It will be off limits to boating/fishing of any kind starting the 23rd - 27th. Monday - Friday.
If you know someone fishing it that does not read this forum, please let them know. I'd hate to disqualify someone at the start of the event because they didn't know.
This is standard for most tournaments I've fished over the years and for good reason. Even better reasons with a musky tournament.
All Chapter musky tournaments will have an off limits period of M-F prior to the event.
The Mayfield Open musky tournament will also be off limits M-F prior to the event.
This means that you're not allowd on the water, period.
Thanx for your cooporation.

I understand...rules are rules and I have no intentions on breaking them. But most of us fish this lake often,I personally don't think we're going to learn anything new in days prior to the event.
So no fishing for sturgeon, tarpon or largemouth trout at Tapps...:-" GOT IT

I'd be willing to join the chapter and drive over to tapps if I can hop on a boat with someone. I think it would probably cost too much to bring the boat over with me. Or if another eastsider wants to split gas with me I can probably take the boat.

GF,
I'd sure like to see you attend the Tapps tourney and better yet if you could scrounge up another east sider.
Hope to see ya there.

Hey folks, Bad Esox is right. Most of us joined about this time last year so we're just now expiring. Double check your own membership and get those renewals taken care of. I'd sure hate to turn someone around at the lake but liability is a huge thing these days.
