The one that is catching the fish that day.
I don't really have a favorite, I will change lures and presentation constantly until I find the one that works.
Then I may still change a couple more times just to be certain

I faver the largest plastic worms.Color Black,June Bug,Grape,Red shad.I do a lot of casting, but when you get one its worth it.I havent landed a fish under 2.5 sence I have been throwing a 12in monster worm. The little ones try but cant eat this large bait. And there are times you will catch a lunker on smaller lures, but more hogs have been caught on plastic worms than any other lures on the market today! Check out Culpritlures.com and try some for your self.
Are you hung up again!

I know guys who begin and end the day with the same exact lures, and most of them are eventually successful. Maybe it's a confidence thing.Coastfishin wrote:The one that is catching the fish that day.

I tend to change lures a lot -- sometimes just the size and color. At times I feel like I'm messing with gear too much when I should just fish. One day I actually took 10 rods with me while fishing from the dinghy. Trying to keep track of 10 rods in a 10 foot jon boat is a pain in the butt and definitely wasn't worth it. These days I usually take 4 rods -- 5 max.

Senko T-Rigged. But after fishing with Trent Hale for a day, he has turned me on to those Culprit 12in. T-Rigged. If I had to pick one favorite bait it would have to be the Senko just because I have confidence with them and know they will produce fish wherever I go.
Second to that would be a jig and pig.

BUZZBAIT hands down:bigsmurf: you can have SO MUCH fun with this bait especially if you use a Caseysbaits BUZZBAIT. and you catch big fish and a lot of fish with it.

Favorite Bait: Trophy Scumfrog. When the conditions are right, it's the most exciting way to catch a bass in thick weeds.
Search Bait: White spinnerbait.
Most Productive Bait: Plastic worms.

RE:Whats your favorite lure?
My favorite bait would have to be anything soft and plasticy. Senkos, Zoom lizards/brushhogs, Zoom 10" worms, Berkley powerworms.
i also like to throw crankbaits and spinnerbaits when conditions are right but most of my days start with plastics of some sort.

Whatever caught my most recent fish
Seriously though I have to agree that Yamamoto baits are the ones to beat as for as soft plastics go. For hard baits... well I have yet to get one to produce. I will always have a special place for the stinkbait bulbs on treble hooks I have used since I was knee high to a grasshopper. Oh the memories...

I would say SENKO too. You can just use it just about anywhere. They are boring to fish with sometimes because they are a slow presentation, but it's fun skipping it under trees, docks, boats, etc.... and its fun just to see your line doing the "dance". :thumright. But there's something with that hard "thump..thump" when fishing with jigs gets my blood pumping.

RE:Whats your favorite lure?
My favorite would be a topwater popper before the birds even wake up. Nothing better than seeing a bass demolish your lure at the surface.
Other than that a weightless XXX strike king on 2/0 gamakatsu hook!
Many more favorites but the popper is the most exciting and the xxx produces the most!
