Post by muskyhunter28 » Wed Apr 30, 2008 10:07 am

Hey everyone..
I need someone to fish the Tapps tournament with.
My Brother will be home on leave from the Army and My Father and Him will be fishing together."using my boat..grrrrrrrr"
My other friend is fishing with His son!
So now I need to find someone willing to fish with me.
I will be renting a boat from the MWR down here.
So who wants to win this with me????????

If you can't find anybody, I may be interested however my work schedule will be changing around this time. So I can't commit to anything just yet.

I graduate from EWU at the beginning of June. I may end up on that side of the mountains afterward. If thats the case, or even if I am still over here and can get the time off from work, I would love to fish in the tourny. I would bring my boat. No guarantees but its a possibility

I'm relatively new to the club and intend on fishing all of the tournaments that they are sponsoring this year. I usually fish with my wife, but she urged me to join the club so I could meet a few other people to fish with (I can take a subtle hint!) I would team up with you if you are still looking for a partner. I have a 20' bass boat that is set up quite well for all kinds of fishing, so you wouldn't have to rent a boat. I'm not a newcomer to muskie fishing, but I am just starting to fish Tapps. The wife and I were on the lake last Saturday and I caught a 38" tiger in the stumps by Snag Island. PM me if you are interested.

I worry about belonging to a club that accepts people like me as members!

The Chapter tournaments are not team events. They're individual events. You can fish with as many people in the boat as is safe. The Jack/Jill tourney will be a team event. Also, the Chapter tournaments are members only events. You must be a NW Tiger Pac member.
Just in case anyone was wondering.

Thanks Mark. I was not sure how you run the tournaments, but now I know. I was hoping there were teams, that way, I might have a chance of making a showing! Bill and I took my boat out today, didn't get any action from muskies but did alright on the smallmouth. They seemed to be holding in the real shallow water and tight to the docks. Smallest to largest, 10",13",14",14",15",18" and the largest was 21". We didn't weigh it but most charts that I find say it should have weighed in at about 5.5 lbs. She was real heavy with eggs and broad across the back, so I am guessing that is about right. The action shut down real fast about the time it started raining.

Thanks again for the info,

Richard

Richard,
You can fish together and help each other all you want but your fish will be listed under your name only.
Souinds like you had a hell of a dayb on the water. Bryon and I thought we saw you leaving. We couldn't start till about the tiem you left. You're right on the bite stopping with the rain. Everyone we spoke with caught multiple fish prior to the front moving in. My partner and I got skunked. There's always next time.
