Checkin in....again.

Post by bassackwards » Tue Apr 29, 2008 6:44 pm

Just wanted to check in and give a "shout out" to my extended family in Washington. I haven't wet a line since our recent move back to California. All is good. The kids are all settled back in to our "normal" routine (whatever that means with 3 kids under 8 #-o ). I'm still doing electrical linework down here, not that many trees though #-o BUT...we've got FIRE!!!!

I was just thinking about you guys...alright...missin you a little too :-({|= and the Washington fishing. I can't wait to hit the lake down here. I can throw my big spinners at the LMB again. I was talking to a buddy of mine at work and mentioned "drop shotting"...he looked at me like I had an arm growing out of my forehead...Californians!!!

Anyway, just thought I'd come out of the basement and say "Hi"

Hope everyone's doing good.

Take care,
Bassackwards

Dang long time no see bassackwards...Good to hear all is well with you and your fam. I was wondering why you left, relocated to SoCal?

Side note: Dropshotting's popular here up in NorCal in the San Jose region...It hasn't hit in SoCal yet???

YAAAAAAAA!

I saw that name and thought NO WAY! He's Baaaaaaack!

Missed ya man. Good to hear your doing well. Where are you located in SoCal? I can hook you up with a great forum down there to get you back into the mix. Get out there and get it done. It is going off down there right now. Bass, Striper, Panfish, late night fat Catfishn, you name it. My buddy just went out for an hour and tagged 12 LMB in the 1-4lb. range.
Are you close to DVL. I would recommend getting out to this lake. One of the greatest fisheries in Cali and still growing. This lake will be on a lot of Top 10 Lists in the coming future. I can also see some major tournements being held there too. Check it out. This lake will pump out a world record one day.
Stay in touch around here. We miss you. Any plans on coming back?

Oh, and I use to D-shot down there. It is well known, just get into the right circles and you'll see.

Hey man, glad to see that SoCal DOES have internet. Good luck with those 10+ pounders down there! Hope you are staying safely away from the fires.

Good to hear from you! Wondered where you were off too! Glad to hear all is well! Keep in touch & drop us a fishing report every once in awhile eh??

Glad to hear from you all again. BBD..."the basement" is a cold dark place...filled with long days around high voltage electrical lines, bills, honey-do lists, etc.....everything but fishing. LOL

I was flipping through my fishing pics and found our pictures from Lk. Wa. where you and I were schooling "Edmonds" on the finer points of BACON fishing...and he (and "GRINGO") took home the trophy, how did that happen??

Anyway...again, glad to hear from you guys. Like I said, I'll pop in from time to time and "check in", hopefully with some LMB pics. I've got to travel a little further down here to hit fresh water. I've got a buddy that does a lot of kyak ocean fishing. I may give that a whirl, we'll see.

"FISHIN"...I'd love to get some contacts from you on forums, lakes etc. down here. Can never have too much info.

Take care guys!!

Well, well Mr. Bassackwards!! I see how it is you talk about a guy behind his back. Good thing I decided to check in on the site. Just kidding buddy. I have been absent from the site for awhile myself. All the time I used to spend on the site is now taken up by homework.

It's funny I don't recall gettin schooled that day and I got the trophy to prove it. What is even better is you made it!!! LOL If wasn't for me and my trolling motor you would probably be still rowing back to the boat launch. The plaque is still hanging on my wall and brings back memories of a great day on the water with some great guys, in pontoons no less!!!!

Well glad to hear you are all settled but sad to hear you are not in WA anymore. I look forward to the day when you come for a visit and you, me and Dez can throw down bacon style!

May all your fishing adventures in Cali be filled with stories of the BIG ONE!!!!

:pig: :pig: Trust me. It took some doing to get the famous BACON recipe. :pig: :pig:

Or shall I say, it took some time before I could prove my trustworthiness and get initiated. :nemo:
