Stren Series (Western)
I am going to sign up to fish the Western Stren Series that starts in January as a co-angler. I was curious if anyone else plans on doing the same. If so let me know maybe we can work out travel plans to help offset the cost of fuel, lodging etc. Three tourneys are in Cali and one in AZ. I will definitely do the Cali ones not sure about AZ. I also have free lodging and chow for the tourney on the Delta. (sister's house). Just throwing it out there.

The AZ one in havasu isn't that far. Its right on the border of cali. Without towing a boat you could drive there in one day with two people driving.

I have been there before, it is just too much hassle if I do not have a travel partner. I would fly but I am not made on money! Oh BTW I caught a 5lber on one of the chatterbaits you sent me. They are great.

Nice!
Yea I drove down there once with a couple of people and It wasn't that bad until we had to drive back. Good luck if you do. I was thinking about doing the river (national guard) next year as a back seater. More money but less travel.

Yeah I was thinking about doing the Columbia as well but it looks like I will be going to Iraq in Jun/Jul. Me signing up for the Stren is my last hoorah before I take off for a year. Good luck with that this fall, I wanted to do it this last year but work conflicted. I have yet to fish that area of the river.

Time off always kills me. It is just so busy during the spring and summer that I never get a chance to travel that far. I hope you get the chance.kickerfish wrote: I am going to sign up to fish the Western Stren Series that starts in January as a co-angler. I was curious if anyone else plans on doing the same. Too much water, so many fish, too little time.

Unfortunately no, the Army had some different plans for me over the last month. At least FLW gave me a full refund due to my circumstances. I am going to try to get to one and if so I will post a detailed report.

Sorry to hear things didn't work out for ya. Looked like a tough tournament, difficult weather conditions, and hard to find decent fish. A whole lot of cookie cutter spots, 5 - 6 lbs for 5 fish. There were a few decent bags brought in though.
