Dont forget the Dramamine. I get sick as a dog as soon as the boat hits open ocean. Are you guys staying in Westport for the weekend?

Man you guys are hardcore. You will sleep like a baby on saturday night. If its anything like a salmon charter all you do is stand for about 12 hours on a rocking ship and reel in huge fish. Money well spent though.

Yikes, I've done that! Killer! I would go on Monday-Tuesday when the weather calms down...even Sunday will be much better than Saturday...tonight into tomorrow will be brutal in some areas...especially the coast...I know you can't control the weather...but it's not looking the best...but hopefully you make it out ok, and be safe.

I know your Captain is well versed and knows a ton! Worry about fishing not the weather :bounce:

Rain gear will be your best friend out there dont forget it. Bring LOTS of food and drinks there isnt a place to buy it out there lol. Better to go home w/ food left over than hungry. Are you guys going to throw out a crab pot and retrieve it when you get off the boat?

Depending on how fast it's moving, it usually take 2-3 hours to get from here to Seatlle area

You're canceling the trip koryramussen55...can you do that? I think you should buck it up and battle that slush and snow and get out there! You will get on some nice fish!

Neah Bay (Marine Area 4):
March 25, 2008

Here's what I found from SalmonUniversity for Area 4 Neah Bay, WA March 25, 2008...pretty good man...

If you are like me you can't wait till the Lingcod season gets underway so you can get out to area 4 and crank in a few Lings without having to release them. On our last trip out (Mar. 7) we caught and released Lingcod at every stop. The Lings jumped on so fast that other fish were hard to get. The bite was on from Waadah Island to Strawberry Rock which is south of the Cape. We fished in less than 80 feet of water all day. The variety was up on the Rockfish and if you are a Cabezon fan you will be glad to know that there are a lot of them around as well. So, come on out and have some fun.
