Rods

I am looking at getting a new rod this week. Any suggestions? I will be using it for bass fishing with a bait caster reel.

Depends what you want to spend, I personally like the st. croix avids. If you want to save the bucks get a Shimano Claurus.

there is a rod for every application, not only that you should also indicate what your ideal budget is.

from there everyone can narrow down the search for you. in general, i would suggest a shimano rod. though their prices will vary, their customer service is top notch.

i also suggest shimano. i have a Claurus it only cost like 25 bucks at auburn sports marine, but to tell you the truth the rod sucks. no sensitivity at all. i would go with a higher end rod.

I suggest a Rogue rod if your budget allows. They run about $200. They are worth every penny and fish better than rods costing twice as much.

St.Croix makes excellent rods. They can be a little pricey though.

I don't think the sensitivity is that bad, it is Im-7 graphite, i've got a 2 spincasts and a baitcaster. Wow! 25 bucks is a great deal, I paid twice as much.
