There are a few species and certain lakes or rivers that have more regs than others. You'll have to pick up a set of 07 regs. The 08 regs won't be out till about May. Get a set and familiarize yourself some while you're bored and waiting.
The Columbia is one of the best bass/walleye fisheries in the state and maybe in the country especially where you're located.

This should do it alone. As for me,I usually use a bunch of crankbaits. I've had a lot of luck with Rapala's Rattl'n Rap,Husky Jerk. I've pulled a couple out with spoons.

Lindy Rigs are also quite popular, large plastic worms will even pull up some sturgeon sometimes.

I get my share draggin soft plastics rigged for smallies. Check with the local bass and walleye clubs via the internet or local sports stores. PM me and I'll give an email address to a friend of mine that live in Kennewick.

You might want to scan over the local regs just to be safe. We have some species here you cant catch.

I have gotten out a few times but limited due to weather conditions and the continuing high flows of the Columbia. I went shad fishing last weekend and we absolutely hammered them. I also got out and casted a bit along the banks for some smallies and picked up a few. I may head up to Quincy before too long and check out Potholes and Evergreen but no definite plans for that yet. Between work, vehicular issues and the weird weather/water conditions my plans have not played out as I had hoped. I may get to do some Wally fishing this weekend will have to see how it goes.
