no boat want to get into a tournament any suggestions

Post by fishaholictaz » Sat Mar 22, 2008 8:57 pm

I want to know if there is anybody that wants to let a guy get a feel of tournament fishing on the back of their boat at any tournament. I know the chances are slim to nill but thought I would ask.Thank you for any consideration on this subject. I would also love someone to just go fishing with to get more skills. I can offer a trip to Offut lake where I find some big fish.

Definetly want to take you up on that Offut lake deal. Post some pics of those hawgs, email them to me and I'll post them for you if you want. You want a backseat at a tourney, Join A Club ! Capital City bass club is in your area, their guys seem cool.

Does Offut have gas engine restrictions on it?

Getting back on track, best advise I can offer is what others have already stated. Join a bass club. Most clubs will almost always make sure the non-boaters have a boat to fish out of during club tournaments. Once they have gotten to know you and you them, your chances of getting teamed up with somebody for open tournaments will greatly increase.

When you think you know it all, its time to quit. Knowledge should be gained on every trip.

I live in the olympia area, own a 18'tourney tracker, fish the local lakes when i can with trips to silver lake also.I am gonna try harder this year to get back in the swing of going out and flingin rods more this year "gotta a 10 month old baby girl now"definantly would like to get to know some of the other people on here to fish with,I have fished with Danielt a couple times ,he has got me into different techniques that i was never use to or comfortable with so that was cool of him.He is a very laid back guy not all crazy on the boat, great mindset to be around,so maybe ill get to know some of you this year sooner than later,Keep the rods tight, all bites are free. All PM's okay

Thank every body for all their support!! Any time anybody wants to hit the lake with me let me know I will pay half or whatever.Yes Offut has smallies not many but what it lacks in numbers it makes up for in size. I have this lake pretty well figured out. I have had 50 fish days.Any body that wants to fish with me I fish out of resort boats and you are welcome aboard.

Does 5mph only mean i can put my boat in and just stay on the electric all day?

They just don't want big wake it disperses all over the lake it is not to big. it also has a island that is 4 ft under water perfect for tearing out a lower unit.

I know a guy who is looking for a partner in an upcoming tournament. The entry fee is $150. If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll send you the info.
