hey fellow fishermen ive been hearing alot of talk about the bass fishing in lacamas lake. are their any tips anyone wants to give me on a way to catch them. any info much appreciated

I would use a rod and reel with some line and a bait.

yea sounds like good sound advice.

you might wanna add some spinnerbaits to your rod, line, and reel.

i actually heard ppl are catchinig them on live shrimp under a bobber.

Skeeter - We do. I am anticipating the time as well. We could do some serious damage.

Colton just trying to funny man, not poking fun. Don't take me too literally, you will get to know that I like to keep it light around here.
Seriously though, are you fishing from a boat or shore?

The main baits I would pick up would be a couple jigs - dark and natural colors. Put a trailer on it like a Brush Hog, Sweet Beaver or hula grub.

Pick up some Senkos or TikiSticks and texas rig, carolina rig, or flyline them. Natural colors like watermelon work great. My favorite color though is Shad, 900 in this pic. Also, here is a great link on how to rig soft plastics - http://www.insideline.net/articles/rigging-guide.html

You wouldn't be wrong if you got a couple bags of Roboworms either. Great colors are oxeblood, aarons magic and green weenie. On the dropshot finesse fishing is the ticket.

As far as spinners like Fisherman_max metioned, I would pick up some similiar to these. You can't go wrong with white and chartruese.

Also, when the weather heats up a bit, you will find that the top water bite during sunrise and sunset hours are a lot of fun to fish the Rapala Floating Minnow #11. Good ole' faithful.

Another thing I would be doing is looking through the old reports from Lacamas to see what people have been using and at which time of the year. If there are some recent reports, shoot those guys a PM and ask them what they have found to be the right pattern now. Most people on this site won't hesitate to help you out and give you good information.

Bass in Lacamus are not different than any others. I know most of this is basic but with these couple of baits you should have a great opportunity to tie into some Bucketmouths.

Those are just a couple of baits that I would throw if I fished Lacamas tomorrow. I could go on and on but I will let you take this how you will and apply it. Hope this helps out a bit. If you have more questions don't hesitate to ask.

Wait for a little warm-up in water temps then start using a jig-n-pig or slow-rolling a spinnerbait. After the spawn, plastic frogs, big spinnerbaits, and flipping 3/4oz jigs. The lake is extremely weedy creating good shallow opportunities, but also has some interesting off-shore features for those hot summer days. Big bass over 6lbs are regularly caught (and fortunately released) along with lots of fish in the 1-2 pound catagory. It's a good bass fishery and an excellent night fishery.

Not such a great fishery for the shorebound bass angler, not too bad for trout and panfishing, however.

I wouldn't use a jig-n-pig until water temps are 56 degrees or higher. That's when crayfish start moving around -- which is what the jig-n-pig immitates. Adding a rattle is a nice touch because crayfish make clicking sounds. It's not absolutely necessary, but I think it makes the lure easier for bass to locate -- especially in murky water.

Yes he did but he mentioned fishing them on a jig I find that fishing them by them selves is more productive. But no matter what don't forget the scent I love smelly jelly's crawdaddy I put it on all my bass baits twice as many bites.

Ya. I also throw them with no weight great in warmer temps usually hit within 5 seconds after it hits the water. another good way is on a 1/4 oz. jig head for open water.

The Yamamoto Kreature is also a good bait to throw weightless, but they are kind of expensive.
