RE:Trophy Hunting Pics
I knew a guide in Alaska that swore by squirrel.Hed smoke them.To me (yuk). But to each his own.In the Bayous they eat nutria much like a stew.No thanks.Nutria Fricasse.Nutria Alfredo.
When youre up to your rear end in alligators, its hard to remember that the initial plan was to drain the swamp.

My little bro with his first elk, archery none the less. I called in 4 others, in 2 days, under 20 yds for him, this one was the biggest.Shot it at 7 yds. Scored 315 and some change.

DAMN THAT IS NICE! That's what I'm talking about! This is exactly what this forum needs. Thanks fish4brains for finding the pulse of this thread again. Nice elk little bro.

7 yards? That's a darn close shot...fish4brains wrote:My little bro with his first elk, archery none the less. I called in 4 others, in 2 days, under 20 yds for him, this one was the biggest.Shot it at 7 yds. Scored 315 and some change.

It's pretty thick up here so shots under 20 are very common. I called in another bull, only a 5x5, that hung up on the other side of a tree at only 3yds before it winded him and took off. We did pace the shot distance. Great experience for his first elk hunt except now he's hooked and already planning to come back this season. He is 3rd in line now though.Sam Kafelafish wrote:7 yards?
