Does any one here fish the Spokane River around the Argonne bridge area? I would think now that we are seeing Small Mouth in the river this area would be good.

Are you fly or lure or bait fishing?

What species are you targeting?

Many people flyfish that area for troutskies.

AND ALOT OF SUCKERS. I AT ONE TIME NOT LONG AGO LIVED AT THE END OF PARK ROAD RIGHT ON THE RIVER. DID CATCH SOME TROUT, BUT COULD SIGHTSEE ALL THE SUCKERS I WANTED.NORTH OF THE ARGONNE BRIDGE ALL THE WAY TO THE STATE LINE IS A VERY GOOD UNDERFISHED TROUT FISHERY. GIVE THE BOYS AT FINS AND FEATHERS IN CDA A CALL. THEY WILL TELL YOU WHAT WORKS ON IT. IT IS A SPECIAL RULES FISHERY.

I am mainly wondering how the bass are doing. I am starting to catch them up river farther.

Last summer I caught a couple really small ones just down river from the Barker bridge. I was fly fishing a Red Humpy.
Where you go is less important than how you get there.

I caught some nice little 9" bows when I fished it last year. The Spokane River is a river that, at times, can run very, very fast. High CFS for sure.

I know a guy that catches small mouth directly below the dam in Post Falls on the Spokane River, so they are in whatever niche water they can survive in now.

I have nailed a couple later in the spring upstream of the Argonne Bridge, but I suspect that you would do best in the mid to late summer.
Too much water, so many fish, too little time.
