Where I crab in Oregon we don't get hassled (even for The Thumb's All detergent bottles).

You can easily get some horrendous looking red and white buoys. I reccomend a piece of rope through the buoy, tied to the pickup, and taken on a nice tour of a gravel road.

I always crab down in Oregon because the daily limits are much higher and you can retain smaller crab than you can in washington. As far as baits go, Ive always done well with shad or bottom fish after the fillets have already been removed.
