Lake Samish, Whatcom County - are there smallmouth in there?

Post by basscanada » Wed Feb 27, 2008 2:30 am

Anyone on here fish Samish much? I was thinking about heading out there Sunday for only the second time ever. I hear there are smallies there but I have only ever caught largemouth. Any advice on finding largies or smallies this time of year in Samish would be appreciated!

cheers

There's one (maybe more, I just browsed through quickly) report of someone getting some smallies there. It's back in 03. I'd suggest reading the reports that are available to read.

I think I am going Saturday morning, if I can fix my waders by then.

I'll write a report on it Saturday afternoon.

Since I am using my float tube I won't go to far around the lake. It is super cold and my feet can't take it.

Good Luck.
Rum is good.

I also read that post, and have come across a few places on the net that reference smallmouth being in the lake but have yet to read any conclusive posts, or have seen any pictures... come on someone here must have caught one in Samish! :)
