Not sure what forum to post this in so if it needs to be moved, please feel free to do so.
Moved to the area from Florida and looking to do some fishing but have no clue where to start or where to go. Before I would jump on people's boats and go out and help pay for gas, bait, ice etc and help clean up after so I am up for anything really just to get on the water and fish in the box. I already have a license, just need some guidance.
I live in Port Orchard but with some notice, and if my schedule is clear, I'll go anywhere really.
Thanks and hope to see you out there!

Re: New to the area and looking to fish
Hey Sean,
Welcome to the area. I live up in the north end of Kitsap and have just a 12' basic boat, but I fish locally with friends, often, mostly for rainbows these days. If you're up for 'nothing fancy', but just getting out and experiencing the area, I will keep you in mind next time I am headed out and don't have someone sitting up front. A friend I fish with often also lives in Port Orchard, but his motor needs to go in the shop so he as been doubling with me lately. Once that's fixed, if you're interested, I'll let you know. You're welcome to my gear too, so you can try stuff out before investing. One last thing: Be aware of the new licence needed April 1. I'll need to get mine too.
