I just realized that individual posts in Forum threads dont seem to have any numbers?
I realize we can Quote a post, but what I am trying to do is quote one post to answer that persons question, but the answer requires linking to a different post.
I dont see any way to do that? If we cant link to a specific post, or do a multi-quote of several posts, then a number would help so we can at least say, "Look at post #32" for example.
A way to link to a specific post woule be better I think so we can refer to specific posts in a different thread if needed.
Post numbers within a thread or a way to link to a specific post?

There is this number right by your name;
#238210
how you would be able to search for it I have no idea.

So, by the difference of 5 numbers between your post and my reply shows that others have made 5 replies to all the threads that have been replyed to. Kinda confusing I'd think. Ya, a dedicated post number for each thread would be best, like the first post would be #1, the second in that thread would be #2, and so on.
So a person would say, "Read reply numbers 6, 10, and 14 in thread titled - whatever".
