It used to be that when someone had sent you a PM, you would get a little pop-up when someone came on to the forum, that said you Had a message in your inbox. I don't get that anymore, and I always wonder why some folks never open a message i have left in their in box. (These are people who i can see access the site regularly.)
Mike.. is that a disabled thing now.
Those of you who don't knkw what i am talking about, go open your messages. You may have people looking for you.

If I remember correctly it has to be turned on. Sometimes it seems that it gets turned off by itself. Go to your preferences and check, I'm going to go look.

Yup;
Notify me on new private messages: Yes No
it's under 'user control panel'
then click on 'board preferences'
go down to 'Notify me on new private messages: Yes No '
then click on 'yes'.

Yeah Tom, it was always clicked as "On"
I don't know if this does not work when you access the site via a cell phone, because that is a high percentage of my use.
Maybe send me a test PM, and I will log in out via cell phone.

Well, it's been 10 minutes and the PM is still in the out box, indicating that you haven't read it yet. Have you got an e-mail notice yet?
