Shilshole Launch

Post by Anne » Wed Aug 03, 2016 9:06 am

Finally taking the boat out in the Sound and using the Shilshole Launch. We went by last week to take a look but what pro tips can you pass on to first timers? "Don't launch there" does not count.

No pro tips. Just be patient, check the WDFW for closures and use good seamanship. The launch is well protected and parking is tolerable.

It is a good launch, with no issues. Just be aware that you need to pay for your launch regardless of whether you park on the street. Of course there is a parking lot, but many people think they can avoid the launch fee by parking on the street.
