Best king county lakes for pan fish or bass?
Want to try pan fishing or bass.. Can't seem to find them! Any advice is helpful, thanks for reading.
Re: Best king county lakes for pan fish or bass?
What part of the county do you live in? North, south, east, or west? It's a big county.
Boating lake? Shore fishing? Gas motor lake? No gas motor lake?
Sawyer has it's problems these days, but you can find them. Meridian has a much better pan fish population. Steel, Sammamish, most all lakes will have pan fish and Bass. Lake Washington has an awesome perch fishery.
You need to call Limit Out Performance Marine and ask them when their next seminar will be.

I'm in the Enumclaw area (south east). Most of the lakes are non-gas motors.
Re: Best king county lakes for pan fish or bass?
So get a boat with an electric motor and try all those lakes between Enumclaw, Auburn, and Black Diamond. I have no idea if any of those lakes have shore access. Those lakes will show on a Map Quest internet map. Also try Morton, Sawyer, Meridian. Meridian has a fishing dock, but only a little bass fishing from that dock. Sawyer has a little shore fishing. Morton looks to have a little shore fishing at the launch. West side lakes don't really have much in the way of shore fishing spots, so a good 8' to 14' row boat is great.

I have a 9' Livingston. I just don't know what lakes I should and shouldn't try out.

Start close to home, and proceed out from there. Like that lake between Black Diamond and Enumclaw, I forget the name. It's on the map. Small lake, no gas motors. Of course you'll have to see if it's closed or open. Opening day is Sat.

I lived in the Enumclaw area for a few years, never fished bass much though. I know Deep lake has some, as well as wilderness. I would see people catch these when I was trout fishing.

I dunno, maybe use the reports section to figure that out. The data there is going to be ten times better than a couple of anecdotal reports here...

I dunno nothing bout bass though. I could be way off...

boosted back to the top so the original poster can read it, rather than starting a new thread.

Pine lake is no gas motors, and hand carry only launch.

Fivemile Lake. You can catch quite the variety from the dock. ( Perch, bluegill, crappie) Plenty of trout too. I've always had better luck later in the day there.
