Years ago when we did our annual picnics Fishnislife and Big Bass Dez would MC a casting contest. A certain moderator who shall remain nameless (you guess who) won two years in a row and cemented himself in WashingtonLakes Folklore as "The Cast Master". He'll no doubt be trying for his third title - it's up to everyone to deny him!

We'll run the contest in the afternoon, probably around 3pm. Winner will get a nice prize to be determine.

I'm hoping fishnislife will be able to come and help Dez, we'll see. [thumbup]
Cool! The casting contest is back. I actually have the rings still in my garage. The kids play with them.

I have every intention on making it. It is all work dependent at this point. This is just to far out right now to know. But it is looking better and better for me to just schedule this time off. I will RSVP as soon as I know.
It would be nice to get the whole family out there and fish a lake I have never been on before.
Hope to make it out and catch up with all of you I haven't seen in awhile.

Those pictures are to funny. Who IS that guy!? Great memories. I still can't forget miss netting AMX's winning 5+lb largie. #-o

I have requested the time off of work and have hit up Darnells Resort for a room. We will be 2 adults and the 3 boys. I can bring all the plates and utensils needed for the amount of people that will be there. Let me know Mike and I will watch the list as we get closer.

*Open Seat Available Saturday
I will be bringing the boat (14' Lund) so that Saturday morning I will have an open seat. I will most likely be hitting up the bass but am willing to switch if the bite is tough. I do not have down riggers but have the ability to adapt. Kokanee is foreign to me but they are still a fish, so I am sure I could figure it out if I had to. Most likely I will hunt bass all day.

Otherwise, if a guy is going or thinking about going and doesn't have a way to float on the water this could be it. Let me know.
Sunday I will be taking my boys out with me.

fishnislife that's great news. It will be like a reunion of our older picnics with you and Dez there. You can expect to be drafted to help with the Casting Contest.

We'll supply all the utensils and plates and such. Just need you to bring a food item. We'll be doing the main courses.

I will add to the chips stock and bring tea as well. Plus, I will continue to watch the list and fill in if something looks like it would be good to add.
And I'd be glad to do the casting contest and anything else you need help with. I will bring the rings, unless you have a different idea on how to do it.

My brother and I will be there. Didn't know if you wanted me RSVPing on here or if you already had us on the list. We'll be bringing a 24-hour salad and some picnic mac and cheese. Looking forward to learning a new lake. We've never fished Chelan but we're excited to learn from all you pros. See you all there!

So average size fish a month ago was 14.5". Then last week they were 16.35" average. That's 1.85 inches in around 27 days. If that growth rate continues we should be seeing 20+ inch fish by the meet up. [-o< [crying] [scared] [thumbsup] [thumbup] [woot]

Anton Jones notified me one of his two boats is taken. He has one boat that can take up to 6. This boat can be shared by members coming to the event, you don't have to exclusively book it.

Mike,
I will be donating Panic Minnow Dropswim baits for the raffle prizes. I am trying to get the time freed up to head over there, and will follow up with a post if I am able.

Cool, thanks!

For anyone that doesn't know, Panic Minnows are The Bomb for bass fishing!

Hey Everyone, we have Keith Jensen of Big Wallie's Guide Service offering our members a 1/2 price day of bass fishing May 2nd. Spring bassing on lake Chelan is totally worth it. It's a great, unknown fishery.
