I was lucky enough to hook this beautiful summer 2 weeks ago while I was looking for coho. Biggest summer I have hooked.

Haha thanks. I couldn't believe we got one this early in the season. Was pretty happy about that fish, didn't really care about coho too much that day, after getting that! Beautiful summer run by the way! I think I'd take fighting any summer run over a fresh winter run any day.

Very Nice! Great work man. It's nice to see another Kitsap local putting the hurt on the steelies.
Where did you have to go to stick these beautiful fish, without giving up to much. :-"

Thanks guys, I got them in western Washington...lol
Kitsap steelheaders have it tough, closest river is like 1h30min, it sucks haha but its worth the drive when you hit it on the right day

At least you are that close... Now days my drive for "real" steelheading is 4 hours ( NO, that does not include terminal fisheries like the cascade, fortson or reiter). It would be fine if enough steelhead returned to feel confident going and having a decent day below the hatcheries in the skagit, stilly, sky ect.... But not only is that near impossible, but you can barely catch one at the freakin mouth of a hatchery creek anymore. Weak
