Newbie on board

Does WL.com have group fishing parties or get togethers?I like to be able to meet others on the board for fishing trips and or pot luck get togethers.
The other item I'd like to see would be a tides table ,weather and winds,along with swell conditions.Perhaps it would be a good oppurtunity to get local business people involved.I saw the thread on weather info.Good idea .Id like to see it and a few other items that I mentioned.Just my .02 cents worth.

yea at least once a year, some of the guys have a get-together at a lake and have events and such. i did not go last year but i might try and get there in the next couple years.

i missed the wl.com bbq due to fishing conditions out of my control (potholes), but, ive gotten together guys for fish-outs, and also offer a seat in my lil 12 ft. alum. all the time on here. ive met and fished with 9 wl.com'ers since my membership began in august. all have been great guys. i have not seen any fish-outs here like a couple of other local sites, but, guys throw up a thread, and people pm him if interested. works well for me since my truck's rear-end went out (have boat and all the whistles, no truck to haul). so, because of this website ive been getting out, instead of sitting on the couch or shore fishing. im getting together some guys for a spring trip to potholes, 3-days, split motel, gas, food, as well as, a may trip to ilwaco for bottomfish and halibut. if interested pm me, and i will get you the info. have 5 guys for potholes, 4 for ilwaco so far. i did read where fishinglife has some things brewing, dont know what it is yet, though.

I also thought the weather station would make a really good link for this site. There are all ready some really good links on this site as well, and the tide calculator is one of them, along with the rules and regs, stocking reports, and moon phase chart

Check under the "Links" Menu for some of the items you are interested in. We will indeed have a gt together this year, going to be making this an annual event. Also, if you tie flies the guys are running a fly-tying swap, way cool and a good way to get involved. Welcome!

Sounds excellent.Ive never really got into flyfishing but I have all the rods and reels needed for it.I frequent Ea Wa all spring and summer driving through the Canyon on my way to the Yakama area.Also have been to Rocky Ford a few times.Im not much into tieing flies but i'm always willing to learn.If Wa Lakes.com has clinics ,This old dog is willing to learn.Thanks rfor the responses and help.:thumleft:

I am relatively new to the bass fishing game and would like to try and set up a few non-official fish-in's on some local lakes. The goal of these are to help people get out on new lakes, and meet a few folks. No specifics yet, but would like to do a few. Share lake info, meet folks, learn new techniques, and break away from the "confidence spots" and find new ones.

Hey 2000subaru I would be more than willing to hit the lake with some new faces as soon as I return to the state.(military) so if your interested I wouldn't mind showing you what I know about bass if you might have anything you could share with me about all these dang cold water fish(trout). I am from Oklahoma and grew up fishin bass but I have really enjoyed trying not to rip the lips of all the trout that hit.haha. So anything I can learn to better my fshin game is always appreiciated.

Silver fish? Eew. Have yet to catch one of those things. I'm the proud owner of a BASS boat, not a Trout boat! (Do they make those?) I'm just kidding. I don't know much about bass fishing, and even less about the silver ones. But, I am familiar with Tapps, and will be spending the season dialing in the lake. I only have one goal for Tapps this year, Catch the 1 largemouth that I have seen pictures of in the lake. Location, location, location!!!:-# Let's get out on the water when you return.

I'd be willing to show you the ropes of trout fishing ReelFisher. That I know how to do quite well...I can also catch bass, smallmouth and largemouth... I got some killer secret spots, and I know what I'm doing, but I'm sure theres a few guys on here who know Northwest bassin a bit better then I do...

Sounds like the beginning of a good plan. I will look forward to meeting new people and getting out on the water. I should have been home within a couple weeks however I got hit with the extension like most of the troops did so I will have to wait now for a couple of months before I can start throwing some lines again. But I will definatly be availible to do some fishin when I get home so until then TIGHT LINES!!
