Boots! Smokers! Guacamole kings! With the kings browning up and chum fishing opened up on Willipa Bay tribs, it's time to post up your boots! The best fish gets a secret prize.

The folks fishing Lake Wenatchee have a head start on the rest of us. I saw plenty of boots in the reports from this year.

So the locals at Barrier were putting boot Springers on their stringer...I asked them if they were any good and they said, "yeah, you'd be surprised at how resilient the meat is"...so I tested the theory. Let's just say this guy ended up becoming garden fertilizer and lesson learned. LOL

My bootsie, what large teeth you have. Yes, you got bad advice. Well never know till you try I guess. Like most lessons, always more memorable learned the hard way.
